  1. Main changes in 0.92.5 is alchemy code (optional), bug fixes, and new attack
  2. code (more or less does the same thing, cleaner design, also optional)

  4. A few quick notes:  In order to be able to ever get this out, most all
  5. fixes received after around July 4 have been filed away.  I will go through
  6. them and apply them when I get the chance.  It was just becoming a bit
  7. difficult to try to package everything up and make sure it seemed somewhat
  8. stable while always putting patches in.
  9.  
  10. If you want to re-send your patches in (diff relative to 0.92.5), it would
  11. be nice, not required.  As said, I will go through the old archive I have
  12. and put those in at some point.

  14.  So on to the real release information:

  16. There are three separate tar archives in the Crossfire 0.92.5 distribution:

  23. crossfire-0.92.5.tar.gz contains the actual program code.  See the CHANGES
  24. file in this archive for everything that has changed.  It also contains
  25. pre-made archetypes and image files, so that the
  26. crossfire-0.92.5.arch.tar.gz file is not needed.

  28. crossfire-0.92.5.arch.tar.gz contains the unpacked archetype (arch)
  29. directory.  This file is not needed if you just want to compile the games
  30. and play.  The contents of this archive is used to create the archetypes,
  31. bmaps, font, and X PixMap (XPM) files.  You only need it if you want to add
  32. new archetypes, mess around with the existing ones, or recreate some files.
  33. The main changes are those for the alchemy code and archetype additions for
  34. the kundi maps.

  36. crossfire-0.92.5.maps.tar.gz contains all the maps.  The main addition
  37. are the kundi/Lake Country maps, and a few minor fixes.

  39. There is not a new client package or new eutl package - there have not
  40. been any changes since 0.92.4.

  42. FOR FIRST TIME USERS:  You will need the crossfire-0.92.5.tar.gz and
  43. crossfire-0.92.5.maps.tar.gz file. You do not need the
  44. crossfire-0.92.5.arch.tar.gz file.
